Makeup Kakuyasu Uchiide using Shu Uemura

In this series, Kakuyasu Uchiide, International Artistic Director for Shu Uemura, found inspiration in Australian Lily Nova's startling, “innocent” beauty. With no brief, and no rules, he was free to experiment and explore, to create as many, or as few looks he desired on the day. The result was a sublime combination of both artistry and instinct.“She's a perfect canvas”, he explained, deciding to focus on one feature; eyes, lips or cheeks. “Simple doesn't mean natural”, he says quietly. “Have confidence in your face. True beauty is how you enhance your individuality.”
